Aaah, lets continue with our journey...as we fly over into the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, most famous for its annual migration of over one million white bearded (or brindled) wildebeest and 200,000 zebra
The park is well known for its healthy stock of other resident wildlife, particularly the "Big Five", named for the five most prized trophies taken by hunters: the lion, leopard, elephant, rhinoceros and buffalo.
These species remain the key attractions to tourists, but the park also supports many further species.
Foxes, jackals, wild dogs can be seen now.
Hippopotami are found in large groups in the Masai Mara and Talek rivers........hmmm, Sita, I think that they are smiling at you.....well, they wont be smiling for long once a crocodile attacks....well luckily , for now they are no crocs in sight....so they continue grinning....
Look, look, that cheetah is stalking his lunch!! Cheetah are also found here , although their numbers are also threatened, chiefly due to tourist disruption of their daytime hunting.
As I have already mentioned all members of the "Big Five" are found in these plains so let's look out for them .....perhaps we will get lucky.....perhaps not.....thus far we have only seen the elephant....so four more to spot.......Wow!!! We got lucky......LIONS!!!
What an awesome journey it has been .......and now we are going to land in the Mount Kilimanjaro National Park .....the snow capped peak of "Kili" is sight to behold....and my friends continue to admire it during our descent.........
Look Sita...more haathis...welcoming you to Africa!
We will take a little breather before continuing with our African safari.......
Hmm, Amit and Ramzi seem to be a little bored....they want some action...the lions devouring its prey didn't seem to be exhilarating enough for them....
No problem guys.......tomorrow, you will be leaving us to go off on your own little adventure in Africa. As soon as my dear friend Feroz arrives...you guys will be on your way.......and you can report back to us in a week.
Where will you be going to?? Aaah, you will have to wait until tomorrow, but I do suggest that you have a really good night's sleep on that comfortable bed tonight.
Goodnight.....sweet dreams....
