It's Mount Pilatus, near Lucerne, Switzerland.........Pilatus was named after a local legend which alleges that Pontius Pilate was buried there.
The view from up there looks really awesome so we decided to take the "Golden Round Trip"
We took a boat from Lucerne across Lake Lucerne to Alpnachstad, went up the Pilatus Railway, the world's steepest cogwheel railway and admired the absolutely breathtaking view from atop Mt Pilatus......no words can fully describe the splendour of this place.........
We then came on the aerial cableway and took a bus back to Lucerne.
We strolled along the cobble streets, ate delectable pastries, visited the Picasso museum, Chapel Bridge and the Lion Monument........bought a cuckoo clock......
We also went to a local supermarket and bought at least 5 kilograms of Swiss chocolate......white Toblerone for Nopi, Lindt for Sita and Lindor for Feroz, before departing for our next destination......
Aaah, we will definitely be returning to Switzerland because Sita simply cannot get enough of this picturesque country......
