Day 72,Timimoun, Algeria

Ramzi has insisted that we make a very quick stop at an oasis around the Grand Erg Occidental,it's Timimoun.
Wow, it's such an enchanting place, full of distinctive red mud buildings studded with wooden spikes, and surrounded by ancient villages.

Perhaps the best thing about Timimoun is its location – the town is built on the edge of an escarpment, and there are fantastic views out over an ancient salt lake to the sand dunes in the distance.

The residents are really friendly and it really seems like one of the nicest places in the Sahara....but Ramzi wants us to move on.......he says that even if he was the Incredible Hulk, he would not be able to protect us from the terrorists!!
