Day 2, Bombay to Goa and beyond

Good morning

I have just had a stimulating cuppa my favourite masala chai....and now I must bid a fond farewell to Mumbai....but like Arnie would say..."I'll be back"!

Next stop is the tranquil state of Goa...the beach parties, the delectable Portuguese seafood dishes

and the Basilica of Bom Jesus.

The basilica holds the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier.and is located in Old Goa, which was the capital of Goa in the early days of Portuguese rule.
The Jesuit church is India's first Minor Basilica, and is considered as one of the best examples of baroque architecture in India.
This UNESCO world heritage monument built in 1695 has emerged as a landmark in the history of Christianity

There are several other churches and convents of note in Goa

........but we must move on........so much to see, so little time.........
