Singapore Botanic Gardens
is a 63.7-hectare (157-acre) botanical garden in Singapore. Did you know that it is the only botanic garden in the world that opens from 5 a.m. to 12 midnight every single day of the year?? It includes the National Orchid Garden which has a design concept that presents the display of plants in four separate color zones: the "spring" zone with its prevailing colours of bright and lively shades of gold, yellow and creams; the "summer" zone with its major tones of strong reds and pinks; the "autumn" zone of matured shades; and the "winter" zone of whites and cool blues.
Hungry?? In the mood for some chili crab or fish head curry??...then lets make our way down to Clarke Quay, a historical riverside quay located within the Singapore River Planning Area. The quay is situated upstream from the mouth of the Singapore River and Boat Quay and boasts some of the finest dining areas in the country...what a pity that we wont be in this country for their Food festival in July:-(
Merlion Park is located near Marina Bay and it is a major landmark of Singapore
Sita and Nopi were really overjoyed because of all the Merlion souvenirs that are available...what a wide variety!! Display model, with smaller ones doubling up as paperweights; soft toys; mini soft toy key chains or mobile phone charms;refrigerator magnets;picture frames........souvenir collector's heaven!
I love jewellery so I bought a gold pendant:-)...
