Day 44, Jamaica

Where are we off to now???

Jamaica!!!!

Wow, such excitement !!!...This has set off a little music concert......

Oooh, we love Feroz's rendition of the Beach Boy's "KOKOMO" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYVl6RnXFdc followed by Prasad's version of UB40's "Kingston Town" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBVtezz6Ft0 Hmm, Prasad, is it time for us to find you a soul mate?? Nudge, nudge, wink, wink...and now it's Sita's turn ....she is singing "Day-O"...the banana boat song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jpg-KIKD5gU .Hey Sita, did you know that it's actually a Jamaican folk song?

The final destination of our Caribbean cruise is actually Negril, a large beach resort town located across parts of two Jamaican parishes, Westmoreland and Hanover.

Marti and Jarca are absolutely thrilled to be here!!
For years, they have seen Negril's beach being rated as one of the top ten beaches in the world by many travel magazines and now they are here in person.Yippppeee!!!.

The north end of the beach is home to the large, all-inclusive resorts and South of downtown Negril is West End Road, known as the cliff area, which is lined with resorts that offer more privacy.

Nopi and the guys have taken the opportunity to go snorkeling and diving, with jumping points reaching more than 40 feet (12 m) high. Since this is a really quick visit we are going to the famous Rick's Cafe to watch these cliff jumpers...and eat rum and raisin ice cream made from coconut milk....yummmmy.....

No Amit, you cannot have any Jamaican rum....no drinking and diving allowed!!

aaaah,
this is the life....total relaxation......
